Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), known as the "Queen of Fruits," produces exquisite white-segmented fruits with a delicate sweet-tart flavour. Ultra-premium fruit commanding ₹300–800/kg in Indian markets. Slow-growing but very long-lived tropical tree. Requires high humidity, consistent rainfall, and partial shade when young. Mature trees yield 200–500 fruits annually. Suited for Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu coastal regions.
