Ice Cream Bean (Inga edulis) is a fast-growing nitrogen-fixing legume tree reaching 15–20m. Produces long pods (30–60 cm) containing sweet, cottony white pulp with a vanilla ice cream flavour. Excellent agroforestry species providing shade, green manure, and soil enrichment. Fixes 35–50 kg nitrogen per hectare annually. Hardy tropical tree thriving in diverse soil types.
