Apricot (Prunus armeniaca) is a premium temperate fruit crop with strong export demand. Requires 300–900 chilling hours depending on the cultivar. Produces sweet, golden-orange fruits rich in beta-carotene and dietary fibre. Begins bearing within 3–4 years of grafting. Annual yield of 15–25 kg per tree at maturity. Ideal for hilly and semi-arid regions with dry summers and cold winters.
