Grafted Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) is a dual-spice tree producing both nutmeg (seed kernel) and mace (seed aril)—two of the world's most expensive spices. Grafting ensures female plants and reduces bearing age to 5–6 years (vs 8–10 for seedlings). Mature trees yield 1,500–3,000 nuts annually. India imports ₹400+ crore of nutmeg yearly. Suited for Kerala, Karnataka coastal regions.
