Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) is one of the world's most valuable spices, with India being a major consumer importing over 15,000 tonnes annually. Dried flower buds contain 15–20% essential oil (eugenol) used in dental care, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Trees begin bearing in 5–7 years, yielding 2–5 kg of dried cloves annually. Suited for Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu humid tropics.
