Gliricidia (Gliricidia sepium) is a fast-growing nitrogen-fixing leguminous tree widely used as live fencing, green manure, fodder, and shade tree in plantations. Fixes 100–300 kg nitrogen per hectare annually. Excellent support standard for pepper and vanilla vines. Grows from cuttings—no nursery needed. Biomass used for fuel and composting. Essential agroforestry species.
